When creating any product, considering and acting on user feedback is incredibly important. We’re always working on the EasyPeasy app to make sure that our users have the best experience, and can use the app to make their everyday life a little bit easier. In this vein, we have some exciting news: we’re launching a brand new home screen for the EasyPeasy app!
EasyPeasy's app-based parent programme is dedicated to improving the Home Learning Environment (HLE) and closing the gap in school readiness among children nationwide. Through collaboration with Local Authority partners and Family Hubs, and active engagement with hundreds of thousands of families, we offer an inclusive and effective support system. EasyPeasy is approved in the Early Intervention Foundation Guidebook and has been found to improve GLD outcomes through independent evaluation commissioned by the Education Endowment Foundation.
With the latest update to the EasyPeasy app, we're thrilled to unveil a revamped home screen that will optimise the experience for parents and carers. Here's a detailed look at the new features...
Daily recommended content
The new home screen now includes a daily activity showcased at the top of the EasyPeasy home screen. This feature ensures that parents and carers always have fresh and engaging activities to enjoy with their children. We also have yesterday’s content available for parents who may have missed it so that they can easily catch up on their daily activities. We aim for this to be a great way to encourage parents to instantly dive into a new activity every day.
Bespoke content for parents
Our machine-learning algorithm is always at work to ensure each user has a tailored experience on the app depending on their child’s age, topics selected, and their behaviour on the app. To help parents quickly get into this recommended content, our new home screen features a "Recommended for You" carousel that showcases six recommendations to help parents discover activities their child will love as well as an option to see a much larger feed of activities and tips by tapping “See more”.
Local area insights
The "Popular Topics'' section showcases the top topics that both other parents are searching for in the user’s location, but also, the top 5 topics that our Local Authority partners have chosen for their local area. This helps Local Authorities prioritise certain developmental skills for children based on reports such as the Early Years Foundational Stage (EYFS), or to support your Family Hubs strategy. It's also a fantastic way to understand the challenges parents are trying to solve and to help you discover regional parenting trends.
Filter activities by age
The home screen provides users with a dedicated space for age-specific parenting tips and activities. This helps users find tailored suggestions to support their child’s growth and learning amongst all topics.
